Sunday, October 23rd, 1977: LF Luzinski Re-Signs with Kansas City
Greg Luzinski and Kansas City have come to an agreement keeping the left fielder in a Shuffle uniform for another 5 years.

The deal is worth $19,125,000 and a formal press conference has been scheduled for tomorrow.

So far this season Luzinski has 37 home runs and a .288 batting average.

Tuesday, September 20th, 1977: Shuffle Nap Lajoie Injured: Day-to-Day
Kansas City's star second baseman Nap Lajoie injured himself in a game against the Oakland Hells Angels, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as a sprained ankle and the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Lajoie with a smile as he talked to SION reporters.

So far this year Lajoie has 9 home runs and a .309 batting average.

Monday, September 19th, 1977: Great Week for Kansas City's Left Fielder
This week's best performer in the West Side Conference was left fielder Greg Luzinski of the Kansas City Shuffle.

He slashed out a .357 average and was voted the Player of the Week. Over the last week Luzinski stroked 10 hits in 28 at-bats and 2 home runs, drove in 6 runs and scored 4 times.

Luzinski is currently hitting at a .290 pace with 36 home runs, 94 RBIs and has scored 94 times.
